The College is situated at Aurai- Meerajapur Road near about 7 Km. away from Aurai. Aurai is situated on Allahabad-Varanasi National Highway.

The area where this law college is situated was without a law college. Varanasi, Janupur, Rajatalab and Allahabad are the places where law colleges are present. The students of adjoining area had to go away from their places of residence to obtain a degree of law. This hardship was noticed by the founder of law college Dr. Dev Raj Singh and he decided to open a law college in the memory of his late father Mathura Singh.

The college obtained approval of affiliation from the Government UP on 10-07-2007 for further three years and the same was approved by the VBS Purvanchal, Jaunpur .The Bar council of India (BCI) granted temporary affiliation on 19-04-2008 for the academic session 2008-09 and 2009-10 vide letter no. BCI/D460/2008 (LEMtg-19-04-2008) with and intake 160 students.
